Robin Barker is Grants and Administrative Manager at the George Family Foundation. In this role, she manages development and maintenance of grantee files and communication related to the grant making process, including detailed financial records associated with each grant. In addition, she manages the day-to-day operations of the Foundation office and assists the Executive Director and the board with Foundation communication and public relations. She is the first point of contact with incoming callers and visitors.
An experienced administrative and executive assistant, Ms. Barker has worked with distinction in public media, foundation and corporate environments. She has actively supported fund development and event planning for public media outlets. Her focus on details allows others to confidently carryout their responsibilities, knowing they have professional support backing them up.
Ms. Barker is active in the national and local chapters of the Grants Managers Network, which provides professional development for grants administrators and promotes the use of best practices within grantmaking. She also serves her community through environmental volunteering, particularly through REI projects designed to actively conserve nature while encouraging responsible use and enjoyment of the outdoors.
Ms. Barker’s professional training and office management skills have been acquired over the course of nearly 30 years of working with chief executive officers and their leadership staffs.
