Keith Allen, Ramsey County Senior Planning Specialist
Keith Allen is currently a Senior Planning Specialist with Ramsey County. He has worked for the county since July 2013. As a member of the Policy and Planning Division within the County Manager’s Office, he focuses on high-priority, multi-sector initiatives and is leading the county’s development of a continuum of care for Ramsey County youth and their families. Mr. Allen’s daily activities involve working in collaboration with other County staff and systems partners and coordinating ongoing community engagement with a broad array of residents and community providers.
Prior to joining Ramsey County Mr. Allen worked in the non-profit sector in various roles. Most recently, as project coordinator for the American Cancer Society, he directed funding and led an initiative to support men of color (with a direct focus on African-American men in the Twin Cities) becoming educated about prostate and colon cancer. He also has worked as a mental health counselor for children and families at the A.H. Wilder Foundation.
Mr. Allen received his Bachelor of Science degree from Augsburg College with a major in social work. He also has a Masters in social work from the College of St. Catherine/University St. Thomas where he was a Presidential Scholar
