About Penny Pilgram George, Psy. D. Penny Pilgram George is President of the George Family Foundation and co-founder and President of the Bravewell Collaborative, a national philanthropic collaboration focused on leveraging individual philanthropy to transform medicine by restoring it to its roots in healing. With the mission of optimizing health and healing for individuals and society, the Bravewell Collaborative conceived and funded the PBS special “The New Medicine”. A consulting psychologist for more than 20 years, Dr. George was co-founder of Sellergren-George Consulting Psychologists. Currently, Dr. George is focusing her efforts on philanthropic initiatives to advance the principles and practice of integrative medicine locally as well as nationally. Her leadership has been featured in articles in The Chronicle of Philanthropy and Harvard University Center for Public Leadership’s Compass magazine. She and her husband Bill were honored to receive the Service Beyond Self award from the Rotary Club of Minneapolis for their philanthropic achievements. Education:
